A Viterbo, Italy Destination Wedding | All-Inclusive Wedding Packages | Storytellers Events

I think many couples consider planning a destination wedding- how romantic would it be to travel to a beautiful location with your closest friends and family to celebrate your union for longer than just a day?  Ideal, right?  Until you begin to think about the logistics…and we get it- there are a lot of them.

Among these logistics, there is the concern for cost- cost for the couple and cost for their guests, AND how do we pull it off?  Isn’t it tough? Who can we trust at the location?

I had these same fears when I considered planning my own destination wedding.  Which is where we came up with the idea to alleviate both of these concerns AND take care of all of the logistics by creating destination wedding packages.

We have (or will) handle all of the details (yes, we work directly with the vendors abroad).  You know the price up front, the packages includes everything from the time you arrive to the destination through the wedding day, you have various options to customize the wedding to fit EXACTLY what you want- AND you are working with 1 planner through the entire process, who you can meet and communicate with in person.  Hopefully allowing you to gain the confidence and the trust that a destination wedding is doable, that it will be what you envisioned, and that it is within your price range!

The Viterbo, Italy wedding package is an authentic, intimate, Italian wedding experience that is NOT available anywhere due to our amazing contacts (including the mayor- how can you beat that?).  It truly is one of Italy’s best kept secrets and starting in Rome you can explore a new region of Italy.  What makes this location unique is that you can get married in a private vineyard, or a courtyard, or a trattoria, or a church…you choose!  AND, you get to work one-on-one with a Pulitzer prize winning photographer.  Can’t beat that ;)!

This basic package begins in Rome and takes you to Viterbo- it is a 5 day wedding week that includes (and is not limited to):

– A welcome cocktail

– Rehearsal and rehearsal dinner

– Ceremony (and it is possible to get married in the churches there- not so easy anywhere else in Italy)

– Reception venue

– Food and Drink

– Transportation for you and your guests (to and from Rome)

– 1/2 a day tour of Rome

– 1/2 a day tour of Viterbo and the surrounding areas

– Decor (for ceremony and reception)

– Flowers (for ceremony and reception)

– Cake

– Music

– Officiant

– Lodging for the couple

– Wedding planner for the 5 days

– Pulitzer prize winning photographer

All of this at the grand total price beginning at $25,000 (for 25 people).  Yup- many people in the business don’t believe it either :).  And I promise you, the service and the outcome will be one of beauty and elegance.  It is important for us to provide you with a product that is AMAZING and more than you expect- and we promise to deliver.

So, don’t hesitate to contact us to see if planning a destination wedding is for you.  We love the conversations and are happy to answer any and all questions you may have.  We have been doing this a long time, so you may as well use us ;).

A Castle Cliff Estate Wedding | Sedalia, Colorado Wedding Planners

I just loved Alex and Phil from the first time I met them, and my love for being around them just grew when I met their family and friends.  They are just so FUN!  And so caring!  Such a pleasure to be around (as you will see in the photos). Therefore, I was clear that their wedding day at Castle Cliff Estate would be a memorable one for them and all of their guests…

Along with their amazing group of family and friends, us at Storytellers worked with some of out favorite wedding vendors! Always wonderful for wedding planners to work with vendors we trust!

Getting ready at Castle Cliff Estate on their wedding day, the couple was so chill- the ladies enjoyed their time upstairs getting their hair and make-up done by Destination Stylists, while the guys played pool downstairs in the guys room.  They would peek from time to time at the progress of set-up, where we had decided to hold the ceremony on the front lawn facing out towards the mountains (a first for the venue, I later learned).  With Tracy the Florist, the couple decided on simple floral arrangements, as to not detract from the beauty of the surroundings.  We loved the end result.

Because it is Colorado- we were working that day with lighting storms and rain…after checking all the weather radars, we decided to delay the ceremony 30 minutes while providing guests with cocktails.  HA- the smiles that decision brought and the guests had no problem drinking early ;).  Because the groomsmen decided to do a rain dance to stop the rain, which worked of course, the heavens cleared with enough time to have the ceremony outside.  Perfect!  Thanks guys :).

And then the party began!  Three Tomatoes Catering provided the food, where they create food stations around the estate so that their guests could walk around, mingle, and enjoy the entire venue- this included a macaroni bar, a slider bar, passed appetizers…decadent and with amazing service! The DJ began the music, and we couldn’t ask for a better one with Jeff from Total Encore Entertainment! They totally know how to keep everyone on the dance floor until the very end!  The toasts were hilarious and heartfelt- and they even drank from the Nuernberg bridal cup (a surprise), where they drank without spilling a drop.  A very good omen indeed.

Other super cool details of the day- the groomsmen had super cool socks, the guestbook consisted of a coffee table book with Colorado scenery and mountains (since the couple likes to hike), Saddle Shoe Signs provided awesome marquis signs for the couple, they served mini bundts as dessert for their guests (which got devoured because they’re just so scrumptious), and the food stations throughout the house were a huge success!

All of this to say that we had a wonderful time, and we were nonstop all night! Families like that of Alex and Phil are truly why we love being wedding planners in the beautiful state of Colorado, and why we love what we do!  Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us.

Lille, France Engagement Shoot | Destination Wedding | International Wedding Planner

featuredonFWSWhen I first heard from Alex, I was ecstatic that she had reached out to me to help plan her wedding in NYC.

I then found out about her condition, and why they had chosen to get married and elope to NYC.  Originally, the plan was for them to have a big wedding in London, England, where Cyril proposed.  She was diagnosed with a rare condition that put her into a wheelchair shortly after the engagement.  They decided to postpone their wedding for years, hoping that she would be able to walk again. She could not bring herself to have a wedding with all her friends and family, where she was not able to dance with her new husband.

When the doctors predicted that she may never be able to walk again, and that she made a lot of progress by being able to walk in crutches, they decided to switch their plans.  They chose to elope and have a ceremony just for them, living the dream that they had.  And this became a wonderful wedding ceremony in New York City, followed by a reception in Lille, France.

The miracle is that between the time they had contacted me for help plan their wedding, and  the time they got married, SHE GOT BETTER.  She walked for her wedding, and even danced in Grand Central Station.

What you get to see here, is the elation they had when she began walking again, and they had to have an engagement shoot that focused on them walking and dancing through the streets of Lille, France.

AND, their inspirational story was featured on the French Wedding Style Blog :)!

“I’m on a Bike” wedding | Genesee Park, CO | Golden, CO wedding | Storytellers Events

Melissa and Jeff became one on a beautiful Colorado day in May. The ceremony took place outside at Genesee Mountain with amazing views. Much like many brides fear, Melissa feared it was going to rain as the sky became dark and gloomy, but to everyone’s surprise, right as the ceremony started the clouds passed and the sun came out. Melissa and Jeff exchanged personal vows, making their special day even more personal to one another. Jeff’s nephew and niece shared the poem, “Falling in Love is Like Owning a Dog”, by Taylor Mali (click on the link for the full awesome poem). The two children had the guests laughing as though they were at a comedy show; it was the icing on the cake and the ceremony was sealed with a perfect kiss (with a dip)!

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour followed by the reception at Mount Vernon Country Club. Mount Vernon Country Club catered the dinner and the wedding cake.  Melissa and Jeff wanted to incorporate biking and bikes into their wedding as it is a favorite hobby for them both. Jeff wore socks with tiny bikes on them (check out the photos below) and for their second grand entrance into their first dance, they rode in on bikes to the song “I’m on Bike”. Yes, the hip-hop version and yes, this was a first for us too ;)!

Another great idea was with their escort cards, each person received a photo of an activity, and the guests had to match it with the table name, for example:  a photo of a couple kissing was matched with the “Kissing” table.  It was cute watching the guests enjoy matching up their tables to their cards- and they got to keep the frame! Favor and escort card all in one!

Following dinner, the couple opened the dance floor by dancing their first dance to a swing jive. They were awesome!  Melissa and her father did a remix to their special father-daughter dance by doing the now popular Harlem Shake. Yes, the father’s idea! And mid-song, the wedding party joined in! The guests loved the non-traditional dances and there were a lot of hoots and hollers. The DJs at A Music Plus kept the energy high until the very end and everyone enjoyed the evening by dancing and celebrating the newly married couple.

Thank you, Melissa and Jeff, for allowing us to be your wedding planners and to help with the process!  We loved every moment.

~Candace and Cielle
