A Golden, Colorado DIY Wedding | Storytellers Events | Colorado Wedding Planners

When one of our favorite wedding stylists asked us to be her day-of wedding coordinator, we were ecstatic!  She is co-founder of one of our favorite hair and make-up company’s- Destination Stylists, and oh so creative.

If you would like inspiration for a wedding with several DIY elements created by the bride herself, look no further.  The bride, Lauren, kept her own succulents for the centerpieces, made the flower girl dresses (yes, sewed them!), thought of monograms, hanging lanterns, mason jars, and lace and burlap to add unique details to each aspect of their wedding.   Her bridesmaids even came over for a girls night ands created homemade peach jam to give away as favors!  And they turned out delicious!

We were given all the flowers, containers, decor, and put it all together to create a cohesive whole….

One thing that is always a toss up in Colorado is the weather…and their wedding day was the first snow of the season.  They took it in stride, got out their boots and stylish wrap, and headed outdoors for snowy outdoor photo ops.

Take a look for yourself, and know that with enough time and a little creativity, you can add special details yourself.

Denver A List | Voted top 5 Denver Wedding Planners

Denver A LIst

Yes, we are finally blogging about our recent accolade…being voted in the top 5 Denver wedding planners for 2013…

Honestly, I have postponed posting about this because I was not quite sure what to write…how to say ‘thank you’ without making it sound insincere or over-the-top.

And today, I figure, who cares?  So, here goes!

Thank you so much to all of you who have supported us since I had this ‘crazy’ idea to start an international wedding planning company 2- 1/2 years ago.  It continues to be an amazing journey, and I continue to feel blessed by the people I meet by being in this amazing wedding industry.

I am humbled at the success we have had in the little amount of time we have been open, and even though I know in my brain it took a lot of work, I feel extremely lucky at the same time.

Thank you to all the amazing couples, their families, and their friends, who have opened up their wedding days to us to share in the joy, the love, the laughter, and the happy tears…every wedding I go to I wonder how I got to be so lucky that I get to witness such love…and to top it off, it’s my job!  Does it get any better?

I huge thank you to those who have worked diligently by my side to make this company work!  You are my extended family, and I know I could not do it without you!  Veronica, Suzanne, Candace, Liz, and Mariah- our Wednesday night dinner meetings are just the best!

And to my amazing (and super handsome) husband who held my hand and talked me through all those days when I doubted myself and all the time I was putting into the business.

Ah- now that I am done, I feel like I gave a speech at the Oscars or something…  Love you guys!  And very excited for what the next year will bring!

Phew- enough with the cheesiness…summary:  thank you.

A University of Denver Wedding | Jewish Ceremony | Denver Wedding Planner

When I first spoke with this wedding couple, they were living in New York City and wanting to get married in Denver, Colorado.  They had family here, and had plans to move here before the year was out (they ended up moving a couples months before the wedding while the groom took the bar exam! Phew).

We chose this beautiful ceremony location because the bride had family who went to Denver University, and they loved the idea of the gardens and the fountain.  The venue did not disappoint.

Also special was the Chuppah- handmade and gorgeous, and the beautiful globes filled with flowers running down the aisle.  Spectacular. Take a look for yourself.  Have we mentioned we love being wedding planners :)?
