Evergreen Lake House Wedding

This past weekend I had the chance of checking in with this lovely couple and I got transported back to their lovely wedding weekend.  I thought I would share some of their moments.

Jonathan and Jen’s wedding took place at the beautiful Evergreen Lake House and is a wonderful example of incorporating different traditions, cultures, and personalities into a unique and personalized ceremony and reception.  They did this from incorporating Jewish traditions, to having Jonathan’s super cool cousin officiate the ceremony, to the ultra gifted groomsmen walking down the aisle playing guitars, to showcasing stickers of the yellow equal sign against a blue background for the Human Rights Campaign, in honor of the lgbt community.  The maid of honor even handmade 1001 origami cranes to wish their marriage good luck and longevity , part of her Chinese heritage.

Other awesome memories include the risotto cakes from Biscuits and Berries (delicious!), the most amazing favors of mini bundt cakes provided at each setting by The Bundt Shoppe (guests were stealing these from one another ;)), and dancing to the funk beats of mojomama where people got silly on the dance floor.  The best part was not only did I get to help with the details of this wedding, but I had the honor of being in it (with my handsome hubby).  Great friends, great fun!

Thank you From the Hip Photographers for capturing the moments of the day.  It is always a pleasure working with you!

Cocktails and Connections with the Knot

The ladies of Storytellers Events converge at the Mile High Station!

Cielle, Karen and I (Leah) spent Tuesday night mixing and mingling at another one of the industry’s fabulous events: Cocktails and Connections, hosted by The Knot.

We all had a chance to make some new connections to some amazing vendors such as Cori Cook Floral Design, who is in the process of opening her new floral studio in Golden as we speak. (Check back for her Grand Opening Party). Make sure to follow her on her blog.

We also connected with some of our all time favorites like fab photographers Christina Kiffney and Jackie Nuxoll of Selah Photography. Make sure to check out their dynamic portfolios.

We almost (literally) bumped into Amanda Reeves, event specialist for the Four Season Hotel, Denver- always lovely to chat with her (and still love those chandeliers!)

As usual, Biscuits and Berries put on a deluxe spread of scrumptious food uniquely displayed in the back of a vintage Ford. While Plum Sage Flowers provided us with some eye candy with their beautiful floral design, and Happy Cakes tempted our tummies with mini cupcakes and tasty macaroons.

On our way out we stopped by the Photo Booth for a bout goofy fun…We won’t be posting those pictures…. let’s just say, it was a bit late and there wasn’t  time for a re-do…

A big Thank You to The Knot for a wonderful time.
